Intercultural City/Community Ambassadors

Become a

City/Community Intercultural Ambassador

Introduction

Movements thrive when people carry the vision as their own. An Ambassador Programme provides a structured way to multiply voices, extend influence, and sustain engagement. Think of it as planting seeds in different soils so the vision grows everywhere. Ambassadors act as bridge-builders, representing the mission in their circles, while deepening their sense of belonging and ownership.

Becoming an Intercultural City Ambassador

Becoming an Intercultural City/Community Ambassador

A proposal your city network can adopt and own

Why this matters (City/Community first, ICCT second)

Your city already carries great work across churches, charities, and civic partners. A City Ambassador helps connect and amplify that local story. ICCT is there to resource, learn from you and convene, but the city is the hero—its people, its churches, its leaders.

What the Ambassador does

  • Connect local churches, networks, and initiatives into a shared city intercultural journey.

  • Surface local stories and share them nationally; bring back proven ideas from other places.

  • Host light-touch touchpoints (e.g., quarterly Zoom, prayer space, or learning exchange).

  • Time commitment (typical): ~2–3 hours/month; plus the ICCT Gathering (2 days/year).

Training & support you’ll receive

  • Orientation, Self-Assessment, and Unity in Diversity course.

  • City leader peer group and access to toolkits, case studies, and visit exchanges.

Recognition: the ICCT Intercultural City Mark

Your network can display the ICCT recognition mark (website/socials/event banners) as a sign of shared commitments (e.g., regular city prayer, learning exchange, visible intercultural practices).

Pathway

  1. Apply (short form below to fill).

  2. Self-Assessment for your network (light, practical).

  3. Unity in Diversity course.

  4. Join the city leaders’ learning exchange.

  5. Attend the ICCT Gathering and contribute city stories.

Next step

Pilot for 12 months with clear check-ins; gather feedback from city pastors and leaders to refine.
