Intercultural Church Ambassadors
Become a Church Intercultural Ambassador
Introduction
Movements thrive when people carry the vision as their own. An Ambassador Programme provides a structured way to multiply voices, extend influence, and sustain engagement. Think of it as planting seeds in different soils so the vision grows everywhere. Ambassadors act as bridge-builders, representing the mission in their circles, while deepening their sense of belonging and ownership.
Becoming an Intercultural Church Ambassador
A partnership between your church and ICCT
Your church is already serving your community with faith and hope. By nominating a member of your church as Intercultural Church Ambassador, you can take another step in helping your church flourish across cultures - in worship, leadership, small groups, youth ministry, and mission.
At ICCT, we are not the hero of this story. Your church is. Our role is to come alongside, equip with mutual learning from both sides and support you as you lead your people into intercultural life and mission.
What the Ambassador Will Do
-
Champion your church’s vision for intercultural life, no extra “ICCT agenda.”
-
Spark practical changes with your teams (welcome, worship planning, small groups, youth, communications).
-
Share learning from other churches so your church can benefit without reinventing the wheel.
-
Time commitment: approx. 2–4 hours/month; plus the annual ICCT Gathering (2 days) and occasional online sessions.
Training & Support We Provide
-
Orientation and Intercultural Self-Assessment (to identify your starting point).
-
Unity in Diversity online course and access to our online learning community.
-
Toolkits, case studies, and peer support to help your ambassador succeed.
Recognition: The Intercultural Church Mark
Like Living Wage or Eco Church, your church will be able to display an ICCT recognition mark as a sign of commitment to intercultural discipleship and mission.
